The site MySmartPrice published on Tuesday (13) some images (rendering) in 3D that show, first hand, some changes that can be adopted by Apple in iPhone 13, the company’s next generation smartphone for 2021.
Unsurprisingly, the device should take advantage of the same look as the iPhone 12, following the format that blends the lines of the iconic iPhone 5/5S housing with the more modern features of the iPhone X. The estimated measurements, even, should remain the same: 146 .7mm (H) × 71.5 (W) × 7.6mm thick.
One of the highlights is the presence of three cutouts at the top of the screen. The format is similar to that of current iPhones, which have a space dedicated to the Face ID sensors with an infrared camera and the sensor for selfies. What can change is the placement of the components. Currently, two cutouts are to the left of the cutout, the top speaker is in the center, and another space to the right houses the front camera of the device.
The 3D drawing above indicates that the sensors will be placed next to each other on the iPhone 13, which shows that Apple may include new features such as two front-facing camera sensors, one of them possibly for wide-angle shots.
The top speaker, as rendered, will be positioned just above the cutout. The traditional “notch”, which should also be changed this year, can count on an extra space dedicated to new sensors.
New format for cameras
Rear cameras, which are not expected to undergo major spec changes, can also shift position. This time, point one of the images, the lenses will be placed diagonally. Thus, the four spaces in the module at the rear of the device will be filled as follows: two lenses in each corner, the flash on the upper side and the noise-reducing microphone just below one of the main sensors.
The LiDAR sensor , which is currently only available on the iPad Pro and iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max models, does not appear in iPhone 13 renderings published today.

Finally, other rumors suggest that Apple will bring an LTPO OLED display to this year’s iPhones. The panel tends to be more efficient in energy consumption, which can help the devices’ battery life. The new screens are also expected to offer variable refresh rates, something increasingly common on Android phones.
