The iPhone has many tools and functions unknown to its users. One of them is the feature that the native Notes application offers for those who, in their daily rush, don’t have time to follow the news or watch that interesting video they found on the internet .
We generally use Apple’s native app to take notes, but the tool goes way beyond that. It lets you save website links, Youtube app videos and even Instagram and TikTok posts. The functionality is a “hands on” for those who want to save recipes and make them later, check important information when you have a little more time or even leave to watch later that old series you found lost on websites.
Our test was done on an iPhone 7 and Apple’s Safari browser. It is also possible to store content for later reading in Google Chrome, but there the tool is called “Reading list”.

How to save links in iPhone Notes app?
1. In your device’s Safari browser, open the content you want to save and click the share icon – a small arrow pointing up at the bottom of your screen;
2. Scroll sideways through the options that appear until you find the “Notes” app and click on it. You will be redirected to the platform;
3. Already in “Notes”, your link will appear attached on the screen. Choose whether you want to save the link in an existing note in the app or as a “New note”. You can add text or a note, which will serve as the title of the note. Then tap “Save”;
4. Ready! Note saved. To check, just enter the “Notes” application and access the link.
Different folders
Some iPhones sync with Gmail, so the app can create two folders to save your notes: iCloud and Gmail. When you save a link via the Safari share, it automatically goes to the iCloud storage. But if you’d prefer the content to be saved in your Gmail memory, just access the note, click on the three dots on the upper side of the screen, then tap “Move note”.
The function to save links, videos or posts in the Notes app is an item of the sharing tool. So, to save a Youtube content you must click on the arrow icon written “Share”, search for the notes platform and follow the same steps used for the browser. The same goes for Instagram and TikTok.
